WHAT’S IN THE TRAINING?
3 Videos that will take you from complete beginner to knowing how to write your own macros from scratch.
Part 1
You will start with an introduction to the coding environment and then hit the ground running by writing your first macro. You will avoid some rookie mistakes along the way and then wrap it all up by automating a repetitive task in Excel.
Part 2
This one covers the three most commonly used statements in VBA. You will learn how, when, and why you would want to use them and how they automate decision-making. Additionally, you will learn about variables and the various types. Then we finish the lesson automating another tedious task.
Part 3
The final video covers Forms. You will learn about the two semi-customizable forms Excel has the Message Box and the Input Box. Then you learn what a function is and how it is different from a sub procedure, and how you can create your own custom excel functions.

You would be at a disservice if you started your VBA journey without a solid foundation. This video covers the basics of how to get started, you even start saving time by automating a tedious task! Here is a list of some of the things covered in the 18-minute training:

At the end of this video, you will learn two practical examples. The first one is a macro to have an input box popup and then you put any column, row, or cell and it will select it automatically. The second is a function to determine whether or not a sheet exists. You will use this frequently because there isn’t a preset methodology already in Excel. And that’s it!
